Wow! A lot has happened since my last note. Chelsey came to visit the first weekend in March. The day after she arrived Doug got a phone call that his Dad was in the hospital in Roseburg. Heart trouble. Next day Chelsey and I went to my salon and got spoiled for a few hours. Meanwhile Doug booked a flight to Oregon. Saturday when Doug arrived in Oregon we got word that his mom was now in ICU two beds from his Dad. She was bleeding internally. Chelsey and I were in a improvisational comedy class having a blast when we got the call. Next was my Baby Shower. It was so beautiful but super hard to enjoy. Sarah, Kathy, Tori and Launi set it all up! They really know how to make a party pretty! I have such a great group of friends and family! They really helped me take some of that stress off my mind for a few hours. Sunday Chelsey went home. That was a hard one! I didn't want her to leave! Fortunately I wasn't alone. Mom and Dad hadn't left for Safford yet and Mike and Sarah really helped out with the girls. By Tuesday I was back at work and Doug and his Dad in Portland waiting for his surgery. Dorleen got out of the hospital and was recovering well! We are so grateful! This was my last week at work and I was so tired! Doug's Dad finally went into surgery Wednesday but unfortunately things didn't go as expected and the surgeon abandoned the operation. His arteries just weren't in the best condition so they had to look into other options. Friday they put a stint in and he his recovering nicely. Friday was also my last day at work. Oh was I done?! Yes! It has been very bittersweet, but I know that my babies need me and I need them! It's hard for me to believe I'm not going back, but I know it's best for us right now. Doug finally made it home on Saturday. The girls and I couldn't have been happier! This week has been a little more organized and laid back. Doug's Dad made it home on Monday and was already trying to do junk he shouldn't, so I guess he's going to be OK. My Mom and Dad started their new adventure this week. They are spending the weekdays in Safford Arizona and the weekends here. I guess they only had one house to box so they are coming home tonight and they only left Wednesday so it hasn't been that long without them. Everyone has been worried about how I'm going to survive without my mom. I don't think it will be that hard, I'll just miss having someone to talk to too all the time. She's always there. But now she's just a phone call away instead of twenty steps. I'll live. I think that we are almost ready for the baby. I hope we are anyway. He'll be here in 8 days. Oh, and due to Dorleen's medical conditions she won't be coming down to help us. We are super sad about that! The girls and I were really looking forward to her visit, but we are just glad that she is feeling better!!!! She'll visit us when things mellow out around there. Since she can't make it, I called in the reinforcement crew. Chelsey is coming back to help us out. I hope she won't hate me after that week. I warned her that after the baby gets here I might be a bit out of my mind, but she said she'll love me no matter what. We'll see....heheheh! Well, this might be my last entry for a few weeks. I gotta go have a kid. Wish us luck! We're going to need it!
